These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Savvy Communicator website at oldbutsavvy.com (the "Service"), operated by Oldbutsavvy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number: [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office: [REGISTERED ADDRESS], London). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Savvy Communicator helps you send a message to someone by email, receive replies to that message through a simple inbox, or start a one-to-one video call. It is designed to be simple to use, with minimal steps.
The Service is intended for general use, including by older adults and people assisting them (such as family members). If you are helping someone else use the Service on their behalf, you are responsible for making sure they are comfortable with how it works.
When you use the "I Have an Email" or "I Do Not Have an Email" options, your message and any attachments are sent as an email through our mail server to the recipient you specify. When you use "I Do Not Have an Email", replies to that message are shown to you in a temporary inbox tied to your session — see our Privacy Policy for how long this data is kept.
Video calls are connected directly between participants using peer-to-peer technology (PeerJS). We do not record, store, or view your video calls.
To keep the Service reliable for everyone, sending is limited to a small number of messages per hour from any one visitor. This limit exists to prevent abuse, not to restrict normal use.
We do our best to deliver messages reliably, but email delivery depends on third-party mail providers outside our control. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered or that every reply will appear in your inbox.
The Service is provided "as is". We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including for maintenance or improvements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oldbutsavvy Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
